Reptiles

The Reptiles menu is placed on the navigation bar on the top of the website. From this menu you manage your reptiles, among other things you can; Add new reptiles to the database, download QR labels and sales cards, register actions and view general information regarding your reptiles.

1. Lists and labels

​This feature creates pdf files for download for various use. 

The lists and labels generated include all reptiles currently active in the reptile list. Which will include all reptiles not dead or sold unless the search feature has been used. Searching is explained in the next section.

List as PDF

​The List as PDF option will generate a pdf file with A4 (210 x 297 mm) sized pages of the reptiles currently active in the reptile list. 

The amount of reptiles and information fields can be edited through the account menu.

QR Codes

The QR codes option will generate a pdf file with A4 (210 x 297 mm) sized pages of QR codes. The pages contain either 24 normal  or 10 large QR codes.

QR Codes are meant for use with the QR scanner when registering activity on the app. The information fields next to the QR codes can be edited through the account menu.

QR Codes (Label printer)

The QR codes (Label printer) option will generate a pdf file containing individual in the reptile list, these are suitable for use with a label printer. The individual pages are either normal (60x30mm) or large (84.7x54.7mm).

Expo Labels

The QR codes option will generate a pdf file with A4 (210 x 297 mm) sized pages of QR codes. The pages contain 18 QR codes.

Expo labels display relevant information regarding the reptile, such as species, sex, CITES appendix and a QR code.

Expo Labels (Label printer)

The QR codes (Label printer) option will generate a pdf file containing individual labels (60x43mm) suitable for use with a label printer.

Sales cards

The Sales cards option will generate a pdf file with A4 (210 x 297 mm) sized pages of sales card. 

​Sales cards are intended to follow a reptile when sold. It contains relevant information about the reptile; such as species, sex, breeder and last feeding. It will also contain your contact information if you've filled out the information in the account menu.

2. Search

The search option lets you limit the reptiles shown on the reptile list. There are 3 search options, which are detailed below.

Search

The search feature has 2 search criteria. First criteria is chosen from the drop down menu, which contains the following options:

  • ID
  • Morph
  • Born
  • Sex
  • Rack/cage
  • Common name

Secondly type in a search term, both partial and complete matches will be listed. 

The born criteria however does not include partial matches, o preform a date of birth search use the format you've specified in the settings menu, either dd-mm-yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy, filling in fields. 

Exact ID Search

​Exact ID search will search for a complete match to your search criteria. This means the search criteria must match the ID of the reptile completely, furthermore the search will result in a maximum of 1 hit.

Advanced search

​If the above search solutions are insufficient, the sorting menu has an advanced search tab, detailed in the section below.

3. Sorting

You can use this feature to sort your reptiles, as detailed below

Active

Active reptiles are those reptiles not listed as for sale or dead, as such this tab only shows these.

​Hungry

The hungry tab will sort all your active reptiles from most least recent to most recently fed.

​Needs feed

​The needs feed tab will only display reptiles which haven't fed within a specific interval. The interval can be set through the edit reptile menu.

These reptiles are also represented by the symbol next to their ID.

​Reserved

​The reserved tab will only display reptiles which have been marked as reserved, using either the app or the edit reptile menu. 

​Dead

​The dead tab will only display reptiles which have been marked as dead, using either the app or the edit reptile menu.

For sale

​The for sale tab will only display reptiles which have been marked as for sale, using either the app or the edit reptile menu. Reptiles marked as for sale also have the $ sign next to their ID.

Sold

​The sold tab will only display reptiles which have been marked as sold, using either the app or the edit reptile menu.

Search

​The search tab allows for advanced searching, combining many terms. For most users and uses the simple search feature in the section above will suffice.

When performing a search keep in mind your search criteria should reflect the information on the reptile's edit menu.

4. Adding a reptile

​To begin adding a reptile to your database click the ​button​.

You can now fill in information regarding the reptile. The only requirement to start tracking is filling in an unused #ID. We do however recommend you fill in as many fields as possible.

5. Managing reptile list

Arranging the reptile list

You can arrange your reptiles list in ascending or descending order in regards to the parameters pictured above.

Your first click on one of the parameters which will arrange the list in ascending numerical and alphabetical order beginning with numbers then alphabetically. The next click will switch to descending order.

Needs feed

​The needs feed button is displayed next  reptiles which haven't fed within a specific interval.

The interval can be set when adding the reptile to the reptile list or by using the edit reptile menu. The interval is as standard 7 days.

Managing your reptiles

​Clutch

This button appears for female reptiles that have laid a clutch. Clicking will create a pdf file with a label containing clutch information and QR code.

Show

​This opens the show reptile  menu for the specific reptile.

The show reptile menu contains all information and trackings on the reptile. Furthermore you can register activities, such as feedings, shedding and mating.

Edit

​This opens the edit reptile menu for the specific reptile.

The edit reptile menu allows for editing of all information regarding the reptile, such as ID, species, breeder and images. Futhermore you can list the reptile as for sale, sold or dead, and also reverse this.

Delete

​This button deletes the reptile and all information and trackings regarding it from the database.

Apply actions to multiple reptiles​

You can apply actions to several reptiles at once.

You do this by clicking the reptiles you want the action applied to, and then clicking the reptile(s) selected button.

The feature allows you to move the selected reptiles to a rack/cage or to the market. Adding or editing racks and cages is done through the Racks/Cages menu on the website.
